Camden Community Concert Band performs Sunday

The Camden Community Concert Band (CCCB) will present its Spring concert on Sunday, May 6 at 3 p.m. at Rectory Square in Camden. The concert is free and open to the public. The CCCB is in its 38th year of presenting music to the Camden and Kershaw County area. The band has four concerts per year -- two in Rectory Square and two at Camden High School. Sunday’s concert features selections by John Philip Sousa; “Red, White and Brass;” “Highlights from Beauty and the Beast;” and “Star Wars; Return of the Jedi.” As it has for many years, the 282nd Army Band will join the CCCB on Sunday. The CCCB is under the direction of conductor William “BJ” Braizer and associate conductor Robert Wertz and is an affiliate of the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County.
