CamdenART, an affiliate organization of the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County recently elected new officials during the opening reception for the Honors Show & Sale, CamdenART members in attendance had the opportunity to vote new officer positions for the upcoming season, which will begin in September. The membership elected Catherine “Cat” Coulter Lloyd as chairman and Sam Compton as the co-chair. Current chair, Fletcher Bass will step down after four years but will remain active in the organization.
More than 80 people attended the opening reception for the CamdenART Honors Show & Sale which will remain open in the Bassett Gallery through June 16. The public is encouraged to come see some of the unique and inspiring artwork available for purchase in the Bassett Gallery. There are 77 pieces of artwork representing nearly every form of visual art -- sculptures, clay and porcelain, natural dyed/hand-spun wool weaving, free-form woodwork, and everything in between.
The Bassett Gallery is on the grounds of the FAC, 810 Lyttleton St. in Camden.
CamdenART is a membership organization and founding member of the FAC. Meeting monthly at the FAC, CamdenArt is always looking for new members. Anyone interested in becoming a member is encouraged to attend a meeting. For more information, contact Cat Lloyd at (252) 908-1187.
