The Kershaw County Music Association (KCMA,) an affiliate organization of the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County will hold its annual Member-Guest Showcase in celebration of Mother’s Day this Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Wood Auditorium. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend this annual event.
KCMA members slated to perform are Helen Walker, flute; the Wateree Saxophone Quartet, We Three (Julia C. Halford, Phyllis C. David, Linda S. Higgins;) Scott and Renne Jordan; Mary Ford, violin; and dancer, Barbara James.
After the performance, the KCMA will hold its annual meeting, which will consist of a short business meeting to elect officers for the coming term followed by a reception.
The KCMA, one of the FAC’s founding organizations, was formed to encourage, support and promote young musicians, and to foster knowledge and appreciation of quality music in Kershaw County. It annually funds a number of prestigious scholarships for outstanding musicians in our county.
