The National Society Daughters of the American Colonists goals are to be patriotic, historical and educational in honoring our heritage. The national goals are accepting our heritage to guide and strengthen the present and accepting our heritage by preparing for the unseen future. These goals are reflected by the State Society by giving scholarships to nursing students.The South Carolina State Society established a Nursing Scholarship Fund in the early 1980s, during the administration of Mrs. Eva Reinhard, State Regent, to help ease the financial burden incurred by nursing students.
