ATEC student awarded scholarship
Daughters of American Colonists spring 2011.JPG
Coordinator/Instructor Sharon Clyburn, RN, MN and Instructor Laura Marshall, RN, BSN stand behind Phase II nursing student Andrea Clyburn (front left) and Mary Armstrong (right) of the State Society while honoring Clyburn with a $400 scholarship from the National Society Daughters of the American Colonists.
The National Society Daughters of the American Colonists’ goals are to be patriotic, historical and educational in honoring our heritage. The South Carolina State Society established a Nursing Scholarship Fund in the early 1980s, during the administration of Mrs. Eva Reinhard, State Regent, to help ease the financial burden incurred by nursing students. She recognized the potential for a nursing shortage.
