The Auxiliary of KerhsawHealth has awarded a $4,000 nursing scholarship to Alexa Williamson.

Miss Williamson is one of ten Kershaw County students who will receive a $4,000 per year renewing scholarship from the Auxiliary.

Williamson is a 2016 graduate of North Central High School.  She is currently a sophomore at Francis Marion University enrolled in pre-nursing.  She is a resident advisor and Patriot Mentor. Alexa plans to attend summer school and begin her nursing clinicals this fall.

Following graduation, her goal is to work in labor and delivery.

Miss Williamson is a former Miss Teen Camden and the reigning Miss Francis Marion University. She participates in civic activities both in the local area and on the Francis Marion campus.

Mary Clark, auxiliary president, is pleased to announce that, in 2019, the organization will once again award more than $40,000 in financial aid to Kershaw County students seeking careers in the medical field.

The Auxiliary of KershawHealth is an independent non profit organization whose primary goal is improving the quality of healthcare in Kershaw County through healthcare-related scholarships.

All proceeds from fundraising projects such as the Auxiliary gift shop and the annual golf tournament are applied to these scholarships.
