Burns honored for outstanding scout service

On Feb. 27, John Burns received the Saint George Award for his outstanding work with the Boy Scouts of America and Grace Episcopal Church. Wateree District Commissioner Jim Bradshaw; Wateree District Chairman John Stevenson; district members, Art Graham and Walter Smith; his daughter, Dot Hook; and son, John Burns helped with the presentation. Burns has been in Scouting since he was 11 years old in Troop 303 sponsored by Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church.
