Camden Elementary School celebrated Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 10. Students honored veterans starting with a breakfast at 8 a.m. Afterwards, veterans were honored with a program which included singing by 4th graders and special guest speakers, including retired Army Maj. Gen. Juilan Burns, retired Marine Corps Capt. George Gibson and retired Army Sgt. Ramon Guitard, a Purple Heart recipient. Also at the program, 100 boxes of gifts for soldiers in Afghanistan that first graders supplied for the Shoebox for Soldiers Project were placed on stage.
