The Camden Garden Club will hold its next meeting Monday at the home of Brenda Sullivan. The speaker will be Caroline Matthews, president of The Garden Club of Columbia. Her program will be on what is happening and going on in their club. There will also be a vote on our new members, so the meeting will be closed.
Every month members are asked to bring in horticulture specimens from their home gardens and make arrangements to be judged. The theme this month is "Bold and Beautiful". They should use natural materials, fall flowers, fruits and vegetables. The judges for this month are Shirley Kiger, chairman, Linda Culler, and Brenda Sullivan. Last month our winners were as follows: a blue ribbon for Flonnie West for her Daisy entry, Marty Harkey won blue for her Autumn Fern, and for arrangements: Susan Prettyman earned a blue for her Mums and Rosemary and then another blue for her Mexican Sage/Petunia/Tangleweed in pink and purple and then she won a red for her Mexican Sage and Camellia arrangement, and Marty Harkey took home a blue for her unique Myrtle and Yew design.
After the program, the judges’ report, and the vote, refreshments will be served.
