CGC to meet Monday

The Camden Garden Club will hold its next meeting Monday in the Garden Room at Springdale Hall.

Members will be divided into groups and asked to "Tablescape" a table of four. The theme for this is "Winter Wonder" which is very broad and can allow for lots of creativity. It doesn’t have to be a dinner table; it can be an entrance table, a dessert table or even a curio table. The possibilities are endless.

Each month, members are asked to bring in specimens and arrangements from their own gardens to be judged but this month the judges will have the difficult task of judging the "Tablescapes." The judges for this will be Sandy Shull, chairman; Mary Elizabeth Boykin; and Joy Scully.

Last month, the club held its Holiday Tea at the home of Diane Jones. It was the perfect meeting place to welcome the club’s newest members. There were eight new members: Wendy Zeimke, Inis Gibbes, Katie Pope, Amy Pope, Cathy Cortwright, Joanne Schwartz, Karen Wilson and Diana Wenman.

Following the table transformations, hostess chairman Arrington Walker will enlist the help of Louise Burns and Amy Cantey to provide refreshments for everyone as they check out their competitors’ tables while waiting the judges results.
