Clemson Extension announces contest, workshop

The Kershaw County Clemson Extension Service is assisting with a tomato contest coming up Saturday, and is sponsoring a pesticide calibration and safety workshop on August 15. The tomato contest, sponsored by the Kershaw County Master Gardners’ Association, will take place Saturday at the Kershaw County Farmers Market at 11 a.m. Prizes will be given for the youngest participant, biggest tomato, ugliest tomato, best cherry tomato, most unusual tomato and overall winning tomato. Everyone is welcome to enter their home grown tomatoes for this contest.
