The 9th Annual Clinic Classic will take place Saturday. The 5k Walk/Run is a fundraiser for the Community Medical Clinic of Kershaw County; it also serves to promote physical activity for both youth and adults in Kershaw County. The USTAF certified course winds through Camden’s Historic district. It begins and ends at the Clinic located at 110-C East DeKalb Street, which is behind the United Way.
In addition to the Clinic Classic, a 1-mile Challenge is also included to encourage a healthy competition among Kershaw County elementary schools. The winning school will have the greatest number of participants on their team, such as students, parents, siblings and teachers. The winning school will receive $750 from McDonald’s to be used at the discretion of the principal.
The Clinic Classic starts at 8:30 a.m. Entry fees for the 5K Run/Walk are $30. For more information, call 713-0806. Entrants may also register online at the Clinic website www.cmcofkc.org.
