Confederate Memorial Day remembered in Camden

Jack Marlar of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans (SCV) spoke at a recent observance of Confederate Memorial Day at Monument Square in Camden.
The John D. Kennedy Chapter 308, United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) and Joseph B. Kershaw Camp 82, Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) sponsored an observance of Confederate Memorial Day on May 10 at Monument Square in Camden. The guest speaker was Jack Marlar, SCV, Fountain Inn. Camden’s Confederate Monument was unveiled on June 20, 1883.
