Conservation Day Camp

The Kershaw County Conservation District announces its 2013 Conservation Day Camp. Beginning Tuesday, August 6, natural resource professionals will guide young explorers through three days of adventure at Goodale State Park.

Campers will take nature walks, learn to identify bird, plants and other wildlife. They will improve their skills at fishing and learn archery with SC DNR instructors.

Daily activities will conclude back at base camp with question and answer sessions, a light lunch and parent pickup at 1 p.m.

The camp is daily beginning August 6 until Thursday, August 8. Camp starts at 10 a.m. and is for children ages 8-12.

The registration deadline is August 2 and is limited to 15 children. A medical release is required.
