FAC to host hometown comedian

The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County will bring a night of great, family-friendly and clean comedy to the stage of the Wood Auditorium on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 7p.m. Mike Goodwin, known for his fresh, clean humor will perform his "Bowtie Comedy" show for one night only. Tickets to the event are $15.

A Camden native and a graduate of Camden High School, Mike Goodwin left Camden to serve as an active duty and reserve soldier for 14 years. After his service, he attended Lander University in Green¬wood. During his time at Lander, he hosted many campus events, gaining experience as a performer and planting the seeds of his comedy career. Goodwin graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in political science and later received his Master’s Degree in Education from the University of South Carolina. As a student affairs professional, he presented at a number of professional conferences. A strong advocate for service, Mike has volunteered with a number of civic, professional and nonprofit groups and mentors secondary and college students. He is currently an Elder at Right Direction Christian Center in Columbia.

Upton Foundation and the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
