Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Daisy Caulley
These are the details from my interview with Mrs. Lottie Williams about the Kershaw County School District before integration in her words. She said it was in the mid 1960’s when a few citizens of the Knights Hill Community, not an organization, not a club, not a community just a few concerned citizens, gathered. Mr. Clarence Caulley, Mrs. Rosa Lee Alexander, Mr. Moses Williams and Mrs. Lottie Williams, decided that they had had enough of their children being second handed children and they were going to make an attempt to something about it.
