Bert Goolsby and his most recent titles, "The Trials of Lawyer Pratt" and "Familiar Shadows," will be featured Thursday, Aug. 23 at the newly-opened Books on Broad. The writer will discuss his experiences and sign his books from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Bert Goolsby, a Citadel graduate with a law degree from the University of South Carolina and an advanced law degree from the University of Virginia, is a former chief deputy attorney general of South Carolina. He recently retired as a judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
