Looking for a howling good time this weekend? Look no farther than Rectory Square and Grace Episcopal Church’s 80th annual Dog Show.
The show is Saturday in Rectory Square in downtown Camden and features 16 different classes, including classes for mutts and shelter dogs. Ribbons and trophies will be awarded, but all involved agree everyone who participates is a winner, event organizer Cecelia Stevenson said.
All proceeds from the show go to Theil-Meyers Adoption Center and Animal Shelter, Kershaw County SPCA, and area rescues, she said.
Once again, local artist/cartoonist Robert Ariail has donated a signed original artwork poster to be raffled in connection with the event. Raffle tickets are still available for the poster are $2 each or 3 for $5. Tickets can be purchased at Grace Episcopal Church, located at the corner of Laurens and Lyttleton streets in Camden, or at Camden Tire on Wylie Street in Camden.
Registration for the show begins at 1 p.m., with the show starting at 2 pm. The rain date is Sunday, same time, place and schedule.
Cold drinks, water and chips will be available for purchase.
