If you get mesmerized watching skilled blacksmiths work the forge, then plan to stop by Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. At the site’s traditional forge and assorted portable forges, will be members of the Philip Simmons Artist-Blacksmith Guild of South Carolina. The Guild, named after the famous Charleston blacksmith, Philip Simmons, is hosting a free three-day class for its members to learn how to make hand-wrought leaves and flowers from Guild blacksmith, Mike Tucker of Tucker’s Forge in Sumter (www.tuckersforge.com).
