Holiday Toy Train Exhibit to open Saturday in Camden

The electric train display will be at 1252 Haile St., in Camden (the old Gulf Oil Co. warehouse). This is the 14th year the free event has been held.
At the close of the 19th century, a German named Marklin introduced several series of gauged toy train sets that included ready-to-use track sections, locomotives, cars and accessories, plus enticing add-on pieces for future Christmas and birthday gifts. Within two years, Lionel’s first electric train was chugging around its track in holiday store windows beckoning all towards the magical world of toy trains. Community members and their families are invited to enter that mesmerizing world at the 13th annual Holiday Toy Train Exhibit at 1252 Haile St. in Camden (the old Gulf Co.
