It’s time for the KCL’s Science Saturday!

The Kershaw County Library will offer its second annual Science Saturday this Saturday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the main Camden branch, 1304 Broad St.

Ongoing activities throughout the day include a viewing through a solar telescope, sparkly slime-making, a dinosaur egg hunt, a scientific instrument petting zoo, chalk art, and green screen photos.

Scheduled events include:

11 a.m. -- Make a Terrarium

11:30 a.m. -- Honey and Pollinators, with Sara Marcenvill from Clemson Extension

12:15 p.m. -- Nature Walk, with Dr. Austin Jenkins from USC-Sumter

1 p.m. -- Create a Simple Robotic Hand

1:15 p.m. -- Reptile Show and Tell, with Josh Castleberry from CCTC

2 p.m. -- Build a “Tower of Power”

2:15 p.m. -- Lugoff-Elgin High School Robotics Club Display and Demonstration

All events are free and open to all ages. Additional parking is available at the Kershaw County Government Center, 515 Walnut St.
