Kenneth E. Lewis, the speaker at the Kershaw County Historical Society’s 3 p.m. program Sunday, October 28, knows “from the ground up” the subject he will present to members and the public in the meeting room in the rear building at the Kershaw County School District Office, 2029 West DeKalb St., Camden. Dr. Lewis, now a Florida resident and a professor emeritus of anthropology at Michigan State University, has been studying processes of colonization in South Carolina since the 1970s. His focus has often been Camden and its vicinity.
