“Kindie rock” may not be the most commonly known type of music, but that might be changing. Defined by its use of themes for children younger than 10, but in a style that can be enjoyed by parents as well people of all ages, “kindie rock” is one of the fastest growing segments of the music industry. Kershaw County residents will get a chance to explore this new genre of music themselves, for free, when the nationally recognized group Gustafer Yellowgold performs at the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County Monday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. “This show will be well worth staying up past your bedtime,” said Amy Schofield, director of the Kershaw County Library, who partnered with the Fine Arts Center to bring Gustafer Yellowgold.
