To celebrate the power of imagination and storytelling, Kershaw County Library will offer a performance by acclaimed children’s musician Elska at the Wood Auditorium of the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County on Monday at 6 p.m. Elska is the theatrical creation of a Brooklyn-based artist who weaves music and storytelling together to tell the story of a magical journey by iceberg to a secret island near Iceland, complete with magical creatures, playful foxes, and lost socks. Out With Kids magazine describes Elska as “…pure of heart, unique, musically sophisticated, and, quite frankly, absolutely breathtaking…a transcendent work that your young children will adore and hold dear.” The bookmobile, fully stocked with children’s books, will be available for checking out material and signing up library cards.
