Saturday marked the 17th year of Kershaw County’s annual Back to School Bash to supply students with free school supplies for the upcoming school year.

Various organizations donated and distributed school supplies to elementary through college-aged students at the Back to School Bash. The event was held in the Kershaw County Recreational Department building.

Students were given different colored bands to show if they were in elementary school, middle school, high school or in college. Drawings were held during the event to give away items such as backpacks, white boards, water bottles and lunch boxes.

In past years, more than 700 students have benefitted from the Back to School Bash.
