The Auxiliary of KershawHealth’s 27th annual golf tournament will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8 at the Camden Country Club.
Golfers who tee off at the Camden Country Club on Thursday, Sept. 8 will be doing more than kicking off a day of fun and fellowship. They will be assisting the Auxiliary of KershawHealth’s efforts to prepare area students for careers in healthcare, noted KH Auxiliary officials.
Proceeds from the Auxiliary golf tournament are applied to scholarships for students just beginning their studies, mature individuals making a career change, and healthcare professionals advancing their credentials.
KershawHealth employees Nathaniel L’Heureux, RN, and Judy Hall, RN, reflect the Auxiliary scholarship recipients who are currently working as healthcare professionals. Nathaniel is employed in the Emergency Department and is a past winner of the DAISY Award for extraordinarily compassionate and skillful care. Judy is in Case Management and has also been a Nursing Supervisor.
Much of the funding for Auxiliary scholarships comes from the annual golf tournament.
Entry fee for the captain’s choice tournament is $60 per person or $240 for a four person team. Fees include cart, greens fee, mulligan, and souvenir.
The first place team will receive an award of $500.
For information on registering or sponsoring a hole or team, contact Peggy Gettys, golf tournament chairman, at 803-427-6015. Information and registration forms are available on the Auxiliary website: www.auxiliaryofkershawhealth.org
