On Feb. 22, Lugoff-Elgin High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host a rally for Kershaw County. The rally will be held at the L-EHS Auditorium from 6:30-8:30 p.m. New England Patriot Chaplain Jack Easterby will be the guest speaker and a guest testimony will be given by L-EHS 2013 graduate and USC Volleyball player Megan Kirkland.

L-EHS students who are members of FCA have been planning the event and invite the community to attend. Attendees do not have to be in FCA or attend L-EHS.

"Something I hope people will take away is, honestly, a stronger relationship with God. Every previous year, I’ve felt myself have a stronger relationship after every single year because it is such a powerful event. That’s what I’m looking forward to," L-EHS student and FCA member Rylee Mathis said.

Students also hope people will attend the event to hear the speaker.

"I hope with this speaker we will get people in the doors who may not go to church or who do not know Christ," L-EHS student Victoria Miles said.

"I am excited about the opportunity for the community to come together. It’s not just open to high school students. It’s open to the community and it’s something I look forward to -- everyone coming together and being on fire for God," L-EHS student Hannah Potter said.
