Members of Kershaw County 4-H Horse and 4-H Palmetto Equestrian clubs represented the county well at the S.C. State 4-H Horse Show, June 19-22 at the T. Ed Garrison Arena in Pendleton. The show allowed 4-H members from across the state to showcase the knowledge they have gained during the past year during their individual club meetings and practices.
The show included saddle-type showmanship, western showmanship, a speed division, creative arts contest and more.
“Special thanks to volunteer club leaders Rebecca Hudson and Monique Lee for their dedication throughout the show,” club organizers said.
Local 4-H club members who won awards include:

Summer Rabon, Grace Rabon, Jerica Bozio, Kaylee Hook, Taylor McIntosh, Addison Lee and Amelia Lee participated as members of the 4-H Palmetto Equestrian Club. All seven of them qualified for the Southern Regional Finals.
