The Kershaw County Master Gardeners are now online with a new website, http://www.kcmga.com.

The new website is a great source of information for those interested in learning more about gardening as well as those seeking assistance from the Master Gardeners, said Master Gardener Elaine Long.

One major event coming up in January is the Master Gardeners’ annual Garden Seminar, to be held January 16, 2016 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the American Legion Building, 1333 Chestnut Ferry Road, Camden.

The seminar will feature five eminent speakers, including Jackie Jordan, Area Consumer Horticulture Extension Agent and Master Gardener Coordinator for Richland, Kershaw, and Fairfield Counties; Austin Jenkins, PhD, who is an instructor of General and Environmental Biology at USC-Sumter; Powell Smith, PhD, a Clemson Extension Associate based in Lexington Countp; Liz Gilland, urban Forester for the City of Camden; and Amanda McNulty, Clemson Extension Horticulture Agent and Master Gardener Coordinator for Sumter and host of SCETV’s "Making it Grow."

Tickets to the event are $20 per person and must be purchased in advance; none will be available at the door the day of the event.
