Painting with a purpose
FosterCareRoom2
Two fourth-graders from Malvern Hill Baptist Church and Camden Elementary School had a goal: revamp the visitation room at the Department of Social Services (DSS) to make it more child-friendly for foster children who come through. McKenzie Taylor and Madison Williams ran two lemonade stands to raise the money. They also received two gift cards donated by Wal-Mart totaling $125, a can of paint donated by Lowe’s and the hard work from the Malvern Hill Baptist Church youth group to complete the project.
