Pinkerton selected to serve as Leader Dog Program coordinator

Long time member of the Lions International Club, Rich Pinkerton, was recently selected to serve as the club’s regional coordinator for the Leader Dog Program for North and South Carolina.

The Leader Dog Program helps assist seeing impaired individuals with leader dogs to help them navigate their surroundings.

As regional coordinator, Pinkerton will be responsible for campaigning, providing orientation and training to district leader dogs, evaluating fundraising opportunities and potential, conducting monthly team meetings, and working with district governors-elect to recruit district leader dog chairs.

Pinkerton is extremely pleased about his new title.

"We serve because there is a need to help those who are seeing impaired. My position is an honor," Pinkerton said.
