Riente to lead mindfulness training at the Kershaw County Library

Localife editor hatkinson@chronicle-independent.com Lisa Riente, a certified yoga instructor with years of experience, most recently as owner/operator of Blu Dog Yoga in Camden will lead a mindfulness course at the Kershaw County Library that is free and open to the public. The next session, "Puppy Training: Learning to PLAY with attention," is Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. The following sessions, "Turning Towards Calm: Cultivating curiosity and kindness" and "Being Here Now: From reacting to responding," will be respectively held Feb. 15 and Mar. 1. Riente spoke about her personal experience with mindfulness, saying "I have been a yoga teacher and have studied meditation and present living techniques for over a dozen years.
