JoAnn Zeise
As part of The American Revolutionary War in South Carolina exhibit at the Camden Archives & Museum, JoAnn Zeise, Curator of Cultural History at the South Carolina State Museum, will give a presentation on South Carolina Women in the Revolutionary War. While looking at women from various racial and social backgrounds, Zeise will focus on several South Carolina women whose lives and actions made great contributions to the war effort and the creation of the new country. She presents a view of women’s lives and struggles as they navigated through a war that often came to their doorsteps.
