Elgin resident Dean Cook’s career in music has led him on a path to write for and perform with various music icons. For Cook, it was a Beatles concert in his hometown of Houston, Texas, 47 years ago that sparked his love of music. “In August of ’65 I saw the Beatles and I said to myself, ‘I want this, I want to do this, this is cool.’ I was 15 years old,” said Cook.
