Sweet rewards for KC Habitat for Humanity

Burch Funderburk pictured with his lemonade stand donated $187.97 to Habitat. 5-year-old Burch, who wants to be a builder when he grows up, donated all the proceeds from his lemonade stand on August 12. All of his hard earned efforts resulted in a large donation of $187.97 ... Burch came into our offices to bring his jar of hard earned money. In exchange for his hard work, he received a Habitat hard hat that he can use for additional building projects. Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Laurey Carpenter (pictured left) said, We have a future Community Builder. We thank Burch for working so hard to help us provide affordable housing in Kershaw County. I see a job opening in Burchs future as a builder for our organization. Thank you to Burch and his grandmother, Betty Slade, who provided the transportation in making this wonderful donation a reality.
