The Camden Garden Club meets Monday

The Camden Garden Club will hold its next meeting Monday at Pear Tree Farm, the home of Squeaky Wangensteen. It is appropriately named after the large pear trees in the circular drive. The home has lots of windows overlooking the gardens followed by the open lush pastures with horses grazing.

The speaker this month will be Shannon Littlefield from Littlefield Growers. Her program will be "Planning Your Herb Gardens." The yearbook has a long list of helpful hints to keep everyone on track getting their yards ready for spring planting as well.

Members are encouraged to bring in specimens and make arrangements. The suggested theme this month is "Carolina in the Spring." They may use only fresh materials from their yard or gardens. The judges for this will be Cathy Clark and Debra Gregory. After the program and judges report Marty Wallace, the hostess chairman, will have help from Linda Culler, Neal Stegner, and Patsy Topping in putting out refreshments for the members to enjoy.
