Monday, the United Way of Kershaw County (UWKC) kicked off its 2013 campaign by visiting organizations from their five division sites. "What we did today was celebrate anyone who ran a pace setter campaign. They ran during August and are wrapping up -- today is the official kickoff for the 2013 campaign," said Pam Spivey, director of campaign and communications for UWKC. Funds raised from the campaign will go to local organizations within Kershaw County to benefit the community in areas of education, income, health and hunger and homelessness.
