Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is being observed across the country the week before Thanksgiving. The Kershaw County Housing Partnership is sponsoring the following local events with the hope that all citizens will participate in at least one event. A sleep-out named “One Night without a Home” will be held at the old National Guard Armory in Camden on Saturday, Nov. 13 beginning at 7 p.m. Participants should bring their own food and sleeping bags, tents, etc. A short program will be led by Kershaw County councilman Bobby Gary on the causes of homelessness and some possible solutions.
