Volunteers being accepted to prepare for WARM

The Weatherization and Repair Ministry (WARM) is planned for Dec. 28 and 29. Volunteers from local churches will work together to repair fifteen homes of families in need in Kershaw County.

Projects include installing insulation, replacing window panes, repairing floors, shingling roofs, building ramps, replacing siding, and repairing leaking plumbing.

WARM was started in 1989 and is funded by Camden First UMC, Emmanuel UMC, Gordon Street Church of God, Lyttleton Street UMC, Mt. Zion Baptist, River Church, Salem UMC, Spring Hill UMC, St. John UMC, St. Matthew Baptist, St. Matthew UMC, St. Paul UMC, Union Baptist Church and Unity UMC.

If you would like to volunteer for WARM, please contact any of the participating churches or call Lyttleton Street UMC at 432-3191. Registration forms are also online at www.lsumc.net (missions). Participants must be at least 14 years of age and all skill levels are welcome. If you would like to make a donation for building materials, you may give it to any of the participating churches or mail it to WARM, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC 29020.
