Grace Danielle Cunningham of Camden and Phillip Michael Messer of Kershaw were joined in marriage on September 7, 2013 at 3 p.m. Their wedding was held at Rock Bottom Pond Ventures of Ridgeway and the ceremony was traditional double-ring. The officiating clergyman was Jack Cobb, Jr.
Grace is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cunningham of Camden and the granddaughter of Mr. Bobby Cobb and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Otis Cunningham of Camden.
She is a 2002 graduate of Camden High School and a 2006 graduate of Wingate University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education. She is currently employed as the F&I Coordinator at B.M.W. and Audi of Columbia.
Phillip is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Sullivan and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Messer. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Messer and Annie Grace Knight and the late Mr. Jay Knight.
He is a 2000 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and is currently employed as store manager at Kershaw IGA.
Grace was given in marriage by her father, Mr. Allen Cunningham. Her maid of honor was Maurisa Salmond of Camden. Her bridesmaids were sister-in-law of the bride, Rachel Hasty of Fort Mill; Crystal Owens and Cristina Bravo of Camden; Jamie Millen of Charlotte, N.C.; Yesenia Caro of Hope Mills, N.C.; andsister of the groom, Kristi Cairnes of Heath Springs.
Phillip’s best man was his father, Steve Messer. His groomsmen were the bride’s brothers, Bobby and Caul Cunningham of Camden; brother of the bride, Clay Hasty Jr. of Fort Mill; Jacob Shrader of Kershaw; Matt Shannon of Lancaster; and brother of the groom, Austin Messer of Lancaster.
The flower girl was Charleigh Owens of Camden and the ring bearer was nephew of the bride, Liam Hasty of Fort Mill.
The reception was held at Rock Bottom Pond Ventures of Ridgeway. A wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee followed.
The couple will reside in Camden.
