Lindsay Elizabeth Alexander and Matthew Richard Frost both of Camden, S.C., were united in marriage on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Swift Creek Baptist Church in Rembert, S.C. The 5:00 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Reverend Bruce Hancock. The reception followed immediately at Rosa Lee’s Cottage with special music by Mike & The Mixers of Charleston, SC.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Laurie Alexander of Camden. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Laurie Silas Alexander and Ms. Mildred Dority Odom of Timmonsville, S.C.
Lindsay is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is currently attending South University School of Pharmacy in Columbia, S.C. She is currently a pharmacy intern at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Richard Frost of Camden. He is the grandson of the late Mr. & Mrs. William Alonzo Prather and the late Ms. Mary Elizabeth Frost Bowers. Matthew is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is currently employed in Richland County.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Calvin Alexander. Maid of honor was Lauren Zimmerman. Bridesmaids were Meredith Little, Lauren Beckham, Jordan Walter, and Brittney McCaskill. Flower girl was Mary Elizabeth Long, cousin of the groom. Best man was Thomas Frost, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Joseph Frost, brother of the groom, Morgan Smith, Bradley Morgan, and Mitchell Alexander, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Caden Alexander, cousin of the bride. Special music during the ceremony was performed by Micah Gangwer, violinist, and Billy Shepherd, pianist.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening at Everyday Gourmet. A bridesmaids luncheon was held on Saturday at Aberdeen, home of Jack Brantley, in Camden. The luncheon was given by the groom’s aunts, Mrs. Becky Touchberry of Sumter and Mrs. Gayle Wyant of Camden. The couple will honeymoon in Ochos Rios, Jamaica.
