Charles Ryan Davis of Camden and Amanda Renée Hayes of Columbia announce their engagement. She is the daughter of Mrs. Teresa Hayes of Columbia and Mr. David Hayes of Columbia. He is the son of Mrs. Betty M. Davis of Camden.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Martha Rector and the late Mr. Horace Rector of Columbia, Mr. Roger L. Hayes of Clemmons, N.C., and Mrs. Pricilla Hayes of Columbia. She graduated from Midlands Technical College with an associate’s degree in Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Palmetto Health Richland.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. Charlie L. Morris and the late Sarah E. Morris of Camden, and Mr. Loucis E. Davis and Mrs. Lillie M. Davis of Bishopville. He graduated from Central Carolina Technical College with an associate’s degree in Environmental Engineering. He is employed by Davis and Brown Environmental Services.

The wedding is planned for September 29, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Camden.
