Miss McMaster, Mr. Capell wed
Miss Amanda Rembert McMaster ... Mrs. Carl Douglas Capell, Jr.

Amanda Rembert McMaster of Barnwell and Carl Douglas Capell, Jr. of Camden were united in marriage Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Owen Pavilion at Clemson University’s Madren Center in Clemson.

The seven o’clock double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Robert Clyburn. A reception immediately followed.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Fleming McMaster, III of Barnwell. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Edgar Douglas, III of Winnsboro and Mrs. Evelyn Sloan McMaster and the late Mr. James Fleming McMaster, Jr. of Winnsboro.

She received a bachelor of science degree in Sport Management and a masters degree in Human Resource Development both from Clemson University. She is employed by Leadership South Carolina in Columbia.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Douglas Capell, Sr. of Camden. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Oscar Holland of Bishopville and Mrs. Gladys Hendrix and the late Mr. Arthur James Capell of Hartsville.

He is a graduate of Camden High School and is employed by Palmetto State Utility Services at Fort Jackson in Columbia.

The Maid of Honor was Ms. Ashley Sloan McMaster, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ms. Rachael Kathryn Baxter, Mrs. Emily Augusta Huggins, Ms. Amber Grace Jackson, niece of the groom, Ms. Alicia Kathleen Mackey, and Ms. Kelly Anne Riggins. Miss Emily Garden Clarkson was the Flower Girl, and Miss Allyn Florence Clarkson, god-daughter of the bride, served as Honorary Flower Baby.

The Best Man was Mr. Carl Douglas Capell, Sr., father of the groom. Groomsmen were Mr. Bobby Wayne Huggins, II, Mr. Greg Fain Johnson, Mr. Christopher Robert Tidwell, and Mr. Brantly Davis Tomlinson. Master Francis Ancrum Clarkson, III served as Ring Bearer.

The couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic and will reside in Camden.
