Caroline Marie Parks of Camden, S.C., and Jon Nicholas Watts of Lugoff, S.C., were united in marriage on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at six o’clock in the evening at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church in Camden, S.C. The Reverend Steve Patterson and Reverend Frank Griffith officiated the marriage ceremony. A reception immediately followed at Springdale Hall in Camden, S.C.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Westley Gene Parks of Camden, S.C. She is granddaughter of Mrs. Dianne Markwood Thompson of Atlanta, GA., Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Parks of Cleveland, GA., and Mrs. Patricia Williams Reynolds of Athens, GA. Caroline received a Bachelor of Administration Degree in General Business Administration from Francis Marion University. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and is an active member of the Palmetto Alumni Chapter in Florence, S.C. Caroline is the Director of Teacher Certification for the School of Education at Francis Marion University.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Edward Watts Jr., of Lugoff, S.C. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walling of Columbia, S.C., the late Mr. Harold Watts Sr. of Camden, SC., and Mrs. Patricia Watts of Camden, S.C. Jon received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a minor in History from Francis Marion University. He also is a graduate of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in Columbia, S.C. Jon is a police officer for the Florence City Police Department in Florence, S.C.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Lindsay McClary Sturkie of Effingham, S.C. Miss Kathryn Elizabeth Brown Kaiser of Elgin, S.C. served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Taylor Diane Bauer of Charleston, S.C., Miss Sarah Leanne Parks of Jacksonville, FL., Miss Kimberly Nicole Rodgers of Kingstree, S.C., Miss Melanie Grace Sparrow of Athens, GA., and Miss Kayla Audrey Terhune of Georgetown, S.C.
Best men were Mr. Joseph Blake Avant of Lugoff, S.C., and Mr. Andrew James Cemprola of Lugoff, S.C.
