Miss Spires, Mr. Griffin wed

Lindsey Jordan Spires and Charles Richard Griffin II, both of Columbia, were married Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia. The six o’clock ceremony was performed by the Reverend Doctor Bradley D. Smith. A reception followed at The Hall at Senate and Canal.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gordon Humphries of Columbia and Mr. Charles Monroe Spires, Sr. of Lexington. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Jordan of Rock Hill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elisha Monroe Spires of Blackstock. She graduated from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix – Columbia Campus. She is the Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Programs at Presbyterian College in Clinton.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Richard Griffin of Camden. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ethel Maxcy Griffin, the late Mr. Rufus Samuel Griffin, the late Mr. Thomas Leroy Davy, Sr., and the late Ms. Thelma Roberts Davy all of Camden. He graduated from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He is a Branch Sales Manager and Assistant Vice President with Regions Bank in Columbia.

The maid of honor was Miss Allison Lynn Moeller. Bridesmaids were Miss Rebecca Ashley Cook, Mrs. Lindsay Wier Dew, Mrs. Casey Griffin Eudy, Miss Taylor Rebecca Jordan, Mrs. Mary Sosnowski McDaniel, Mrs. Katherine Moore Merrell, Mrs. Emily Batts Rincon and Miss Megan Moore Smith. The flower girl was Miss Abigail Elizabeth Jordan.

The best man was Mr. Michael Walker Britt. Groomsmen were Mr. Stuart Brooks Arrington, Mr. Alan Carroll Baker, Mr. Robert Brian Bouronich, Mr. Kyle Duran Cunningham, Mr. Joshua James Dixon, Mr. Richard Charles Freeman, Mr. Taylor MacDonald Sawyer and Mr. Charles Monroe Spires, Jr. Ushers were Mr. James Baker Milligan, Mr. Caleb Clinton McCaa and Mr. Todd Kourtney Buehrig. Ring bearers were Master Griffin Allen Eudy and Master Gavin Harrison Eudy.

Greeters were Miss Sarah Lucille Christenberry, Miss Patricia Catherine Millichap, Miss Kelli Rebecca Corbett, Miss Jennifer Frances Jones, Miss Meredith Anne Jones and Miss Billie Jean Williams. Reader was Mr. James Franklin Benson.

Following a wedding trip to Bonaire, the couple will reside in Columbia.
