The Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County will hold auditions for its 2016 Youth Arts Month production, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids this Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m. and Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wood Auditorium at the FAC. Winnie the Pooh Kids will be directed by FAC Director of Education and Theatre Jami Steele. First through eighth graders are encouraged to come and participate. There is no audition fee. Production dates are March 17-20.

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids is a delightful new show based on the characters of A.A. Milne and the 2011 Disney animated feature film. Featuring favorite songs from the film as well as new hits by the Academy Award-winning Robert and Kristen Lopez (Frozen), this honey-filled delight is as sweet as it is fun.

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson. As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship, and sharing snacks.

Youth Arts Month is a collaboration between the FAC and Kershaw County School District. The production will be held in conjunction with a Youth Arts Month Exhibition in the Bassett Gallery.
