As part of its Youth Arts Month Celebration, the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County is holding an exhibition through Friday, March 29 featuring some of the best artwork in the Kershaw County School District (KCSD).

The grand opening took place in the Bassett Gallery on Thursday, just prior to opening night of The Phantom Tollbooth. “You Gotta Have Art” is an annual exhibition showcasing artwork from grades K through 12 that have been chosen by the students’ art teachers to be a part of the annual juried show. The exhibition will remain in the Bassett Gallery through March 29 and is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The winners of this year’s exhibition were announced at Thursday’s grand opening and will be published in an upcoming edition of the Chronicle-Independent.

The Bassett Gallery is sponsored by Kornegay Funeral Home.
