Among the animals available for adoption at the Thiel Meyer Pet Adoption Center are Turtle, a 1-year-old neutered male short hair domestic tabby cat who likes to cuddle, and Miles, a neutered 4- to 5-year-old hound mix. The adoption donation includes spaying or neutering. The center, on Black River Road east of Camden and managed by the Kershaw County Humane Society, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
