Among the animals available for adoption at the Thiel-Meyer Adoption Center are Midnight, a very friendly domestic shorthair kitten; and BJ, a sweet heartworm-positive 2-year-old male Collie/Spaniel mix. The adoption donation includes spaying or neutering. The center, on Black River Road southest of Camden and managed by the Kershaw County Humane Society, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
