SUMTER -- Even though the Sumter P-15’s had nothing riding on its American Legion baseball game with Kershaw County Post 17 on Friday at Riley Park, Sumter head coach Curtis Johnson did not go easy on his old team. Paul Joseph Krouse made sure of that. The side-arming right-hander threw seven innings of two-run baseball and Phillip Watcher struck out five of the six batters he faced to get the save in the P-15’s 4-2 victory in a game that had its start delayed almost two hours due to the heavy rain.“He was great. There’s not much else you can say about him,” Johnson said of Krouse.
